Recently, in an interview with Radio.com, Josh Turner expressed his feelings about the ever-changing technological world we live in today.
“We live in such a technological age where everybody’s got a phone, everybody’s got a computer, there’s TVs everywhere you go,” Turner said. “It’s information overload. It can become an addiction easily to be on your phone all the time. You lose sight of what’s around you. You lose sight of the ones you love.”
Josh Turner became inspired to sing about these issues, and has done so with the first single off his upcoming album. The song, titled “Lay Low,” is about society’s device addictions – information overload – and the importance of powering them off once in a while.
“The lyrics meant something to me,” he said. “They were definitely relatable. I’ve said many times, too: not everybody has a cabin in the woods like I do, but I think everybody yearns for that escape and that break away from these devices and these electromagnetic frequencies.” Check out Josh Turner’s video for “Lay Low” above!
